How we fund this site — in full, no fine print.

Affiliate links

We link to online shops (e. g. Amazon Associates, Otto, Hornbach Affiliate, Idealo) using affiliate links. If you buy through one of those links, we receive a small commission from the retailer. You pay nothing extra.

Affiliate links are marked with cues like "(ad link)" or with an *. You're free to ignore them and buy the product directly at any shop you prefer.

Does advertising influence our recommendations?

We only link to products we buy or would buy ourselves. We do not accept payment for positive reviews. If a tool is bad, we say so — even if the manufacturer is in an affiliate program.

Display advertising (Google AdSense)

We are not currently running display advertising. Once Google AdSense or another ad provider becomes active, visitors will see a separate consent prompt and can opt in or out of personalized ads. This page will be updated accordingly.

What we don't do

• Sponsored posts (manufacturer pays for an article)
• Hidden, unmarked advertising
• Paid backlink trades or paid guest posts
• Selling personal data to ad networks
